DeWine to Speak at Farm Bureau Ag Day

Gov. Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda and Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder are among the leaders who will address Ohio Farm Bureau's annual Ag Day at the Capital.

Several hundred Ohio farmers will be in Columbus to hear from elected officials, learn about important topics and visit with their lawmakers Feb. 19.

The day begins at the Sheraton Columbus at Capitol Square with remarks by OFBF President Frank Burkett III, House Speaker Larry Householder and Ohio Senator Bob Peterson. DeWine and Pelanda will hold a fireside chat with OFBF Executive Vice President Adam Sharp after lunch.

An afternoon panel will discuss "2020 New Decade, New Challenges" and includes

- David Berson, economist, Nationwide Insurance

- Ian Sheldon, Professor and Andersons Chair of Agricultural Marketing, Trade and Policy, Ohio State

- Aaron Wilson, Atmospheric Scientist, Ohio State
