Aug. 7 Fete to Feature Fall Vegetables, Composting
Ohio Ag Connection - 07/29/2010

Just because summer days are counting down doesn't mean gardeners have to give up their favorite pastime. "Fall Vegetable Gardening" is one of the topics at the final "Franklin County Master Gardener Vegetable Garden Fete" program on Aug. 7, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The free program will also cover "Composting," and it will feature members of the Franklin County Master Gardeners Project Team. The event will be held the Franklin County Master Gardener's plot at Ohio State University's Waterman Agriculture and Natural Resources Laboratory, 2490 Carmack Road. The Waterman lab lies just west of the Ohio State campus; enter at the farm's Kenny Road entrance, a half-mile north of Lane Avenue.

For more information, contact Annette Swanberg, Franklin County Master Gardener, at 614-529-9773.

Sponsors are Ohio State University Extension and the university's Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), the outreach and research arms of Ohio State's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
